Terms of Use
Last updated 17 September 2026 · Ardent Labs
Agreement
These terms govern your use of Ardent, a nutrition diary and lifting tracker. By using the app you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
Not medical advice
Ardent is educational software. Energy targets, micronutrient DRI values, water goals, Epley 1RM estimates, recovery scores and Coach or hypertrophy plans are not medical advice, diagnosis or treatment, and they are not a substitute for a doctor, dietitian or qualified coach. Do not use the diary to restrict intake or push training load if you have an eating disorder, injury or clinical condition without in-person care.
Who it is for
You must be at least 13. Do not enter another person’s health information without authority. The app is not directed at children.
Your data
When you sign in, food logs, workouts, photos and settings are stored with your Ardentaccount by default and are not kept as a lasting copy on this device. In More you can opt to store only on this device; we then keep the cloud copy for 30 days and delete it, unless you reverse that choice first. Signed out, the diary stays on this device. You may delete the account in More → Account. File backups (More → Download backup) are your responsibility if you stay signed out or store only on-device. Deleting the app or losing the phone without a backup or account can permanently delete an on-device copy.
Optional network features
Live food search may query public catalogs (including Open Food Facts) with the text or barcode you typed. Coach and “Ask Grok to decide” send a snapshot you choose to xAI only when you tap those actions. Those features need a network and may be unavailable.
AI output
Coach and hypertrophy suggestions are generated automatically from the snapshot you send. They can be wrong, incomplete or unsuitable. You decide what to eat and how to train.
Acceptable use
Use the app for your own logging and training. Do not reverse-engineer, scrape, or overload the food catalog or Coach. Do not use the app to harm yourself or anyone else.
Food and training data
AUSNUT, supermarket and catalog nutrition values are estimates. Barcode hits and branded items can be incomplete or out of date. Weigh foods when accuracy matters. Training loads and plate math are helpers, not a safety system — use collars, spotters and your own judgement.
Intellectual property
Ardent, its design and original software are owned by the operator. AUSNUT and third-party food data remain the property of their respective owners and are used for personal logging.
No warranty
The app is provided “as is”. We do not warrant that it is accurate, available, or fit for a particular purpose. To the extent Australian Consumer Law allows, liability is limited to resupplying the app.
Liability
You use Ardent at your own risk. We are not liable for injury, lost progress, lost data, or decisions you make from Coach, targets or the diary, except where liability cannot be excluded.
Changes
We may update the app and these terms. The date above is the current version. Continued use after a change is acceptance of the revised terms.
Law
These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. If a court finds a clause unenforceable, the rest still applies.
