Try saying

On iPhone

  1. Control Center / Lock Screen → Edit Controls → add Ardent Quick Voice (mic).
  2. Action Button and Shortcuts use the same control.
  3. Tap it, speak, Siri hands the sentence to Ardent. The diary writes. You stay on the Lock Screen.
  4. Hey Siri, log with Ardent: five reps at sixty kilos.

iOS does not let a Lock Screen control run its own microphone. Quick Voice uses App Intents / Siri — the fastest Apple-supported path, the same idea as the flashlight: one control, one tap, done.
